The band "Crumb" at the Lucky Dog Music Hall.
Music review by; Glen Peladeau, Eccentric Musician Company
This time I came somewhat prepared and brought my camera to the show. I arrived early enough to catch the acts leading up to Crumb as well and I skipped out just before the Tool tribute band "Schism" sorry guys (no offense). Also, I admit I am new at writing reviews so bear with me here...for now I'm going to keep things simple and to the point.BR>

Thanks, For visiting SFLM the E-Zine!
Prior to the show I had a chance to talk to the Bass Player, Chester Tozeski. Chester mentioned that this show was sort of a primer for the next show which is at the "Mill Complex" in Southbridge MA on 01/22/2010. Chester mentioned to me they started the band a few years ago with his son Shawn (Keys) in 2007 and it grew from there. He is extremely ecstatic about playing with his son onstage. I can only imagine how that feels as a Farther. That is so cool in my book.
At 11 PM the band took the stage and you could feel the band's energy as they were waiting to let it rip. Now I heard some of the band's songs previously on myspace but it was over a month ago when I hooked up with Cheat there. So the band started playing and the crowd was in listening mode beside a few hard core fans. Cheat previously told me the fans will be at the "Mill" gig as they didn't want to promote the this show as much. A smart move on there part. As they started getting deeper into their set list I could see that they were winning lots of new fans over. Crumb's set consisted of all original music with songs like Silent Suffering, Demolition, Heavens Hell, Migraine and more. The music was less heavy than most of the hard core bands I've heard and was closer to the hard rock vein. This was a nice surprise because they offered up dynamic changes and all the songs were musically separated from each other. There was lead guitar playing but it didn't hog the space of the song. The singer,Mike Belanger reminds me a bit like a influential melding pot of Dio and Hatfield. Mike is very theatrical on stage as well and he has a way with communicating to the audience to creatively introduce the songs they were about to embark on.
If your into hard core music, your going to want to see the band "Crumb" as they offer up originality, dynamic song crafting and a high performance stage presence. If it a car's tachometer was to gauge it the needle would be in the red.
